I been
researching with the story regarding the
life of the
missionaries in the untouched lands. I myself been working with the marginalized upland farmers, where the naked truth was in the eyes of these people who still embracing their natural culture, who feared with the civilization. There are some propositions that divides the idea of the native settlers. This story really catched my attention... since my elders had this myth that if you
heard the
owl calling your name, Death is an inch away from you. <
br/> Mark is a newly ordaned, a 27 years old priests who was assigned by his bishop to an Indian village of Kingcome. I was touched how this man had made a difference in a very extra ordinary way. It will never makes you feel the same. The struggle of leaving a city life to serves the people of God probably with this
remote indian village. How he selflessly served in any forms and in any means, the way a vicar would do. I was imagining if ever my younger brother in his fourth year in a Missionary will continue with his vocation. What life ahead of him? Reading the history of missionaries that sometimes they lost their lives for this vocations. I am hoping that in this modern day of missionaries it would never be the same.
Mark lost his life in the end, where his mission in Kingcome just done. completely consumanated in three years. His life is like a life of a
Salmon fish they called the swimmer that their life is an adventure and challenges in the end their life will vanished truimphant!
This story also, is related to a true story of a Preacher that before they will have their own family their church sents them to a
Mission in the islands of polynessians, to spread a christian way of life. It became a motion picture entitled " The other side of Heaven" one of the co-star was Miss Anne Hathaway.
