Author : Dan Brown

Overview

A death in Spain; a covert government organization; a clandestine project; blackmail!
The ultimate spiraling vertigo, into which you are catapulted from the onset, is what readers of Dan Brown’s novels are used to and he doesn’t disappoint. From chapter to chapter, his ability to sustain a level of intrigue is quite brilliant.
Synopsis

The NSA has long been the custodian of the nation’s secrets, utilizing a technological arsenal as the vanguard against national and international threats. The creation, in secrecy, of “TRANSLTR
”, a high powered code breaking device is the latest mechanism to ward of potential enemies.  This is now threatened with a code it CANNOT break, the pass keys to which will be made available globally, if the NSA does not reveal the existence of “TRANSLTR
” and its clandestine methodologies to the world. Global anarchy is at hand, as the unbreakable code, other than just proving “TRANSLTR
” ineffective, will open the flood gates to the Nations Secrets.
Susan Fletcher and David Becker must seek out the pass keys, in two very different verticals, that will chart them on a course towards a labyrinth of deception and unnerving pursuits. Unable to tell right from wrong, and enemy from foe, they must engage not only their expertise but hidden strengths to decipher and defeat this gravest of threats, and do it in time.
Verdict

Brown, as most thrill writer’s of his genre, leaves readers with the notion of “what if” etched in their minds long after the book is laid down. The skilful parlance evident throughout this book flows from chapter to chapter with splendor and ease. His use of dual protagonists, stitches the essence of a good novel, with thrill, adventure, love, betrayal, time, conspiracy…etc. The novel releases a hamper of knowledge to the reader, inviting you to explore further and perhaps question your inert abilities, which might be required when needed.
